Former Cupertino city accountant arrested on suspicion of embezzling public funds

A former accountant for the city of Cupertino was arrested Wednesday for allegedly embezzling almost $800,000 in public funds, city officials said. Jennifer “Yuen-Cheng” Chang, formerly a senior accountant with the city, was arrested by the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of embezzling $791,494 from the city between 2000 and 2014, the city said in a statement on Wednesday.
