It was founded in 1989 as a small support group by four tradeswomen — an elevator constructor, two carpenters and an operating engineer. Today, Oregon Tradeswomen Inc. is a vibrant nonprofit that’s helping more women join the ranks of the construction industry through pre-apprenticeship training, workplace advocacy and weeklong summer camps for girls.
