Nike gets more to time respond to gender and pay discrimination suit

A federal judge has granted Nike’s unopposed motion to extend its deadline for responding to the claims in a gender and pay discrimination lawsuit filed this month. The company’s response is now due Nov. 5.  Four former Nike employees sued the company in early August, alleging Nike’s culture “devalues and demeans its female employees.” The plaintiffs seek class action status. Nike has not commented on the lawsuit, but has issued a general statement saying it “opposes discrimination of any type.” In…
