Portland’s KinderCare has a bold move as it looks to further enhance the child care provider’s reach. KinderCare Education confirmed Monday it has bought Rainbow Child Care Center, which operates 150 centers in 16 states. Terms of the transaction weren’t disclosed. It’s the largest transaction for KinderCare since the company merged with Knowledge Learning Corp. in 2005.
