One of Portland’s most prominent philanthropic families has given Portland State University a massive gift to help spur Judaic studies. The Harold & Arlene Schnitzer Family Fund of the Oregon Jewish Community Foundation gave $1 million to create a new scholarship program within PSU’s Judaic Studies program.
