Apple just had its first self-driving car accident

A self-driving car developed by Apple Inc. was rear-ended in a low-speed crash in Sunnyvale late last month, marking the company’s first road accident to date. It appears the company’s car, a self-driving 2016 Lexus RX 450h, was not at fault, according to a DMV report published Friday. It was California’s 41st self-driving car accident so far this year.
