On-demand transit system planned for Lake Tahoe area ski resorts

An on-demand transit system could arrive at the Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows ski resorts this winter. The Placer County Board of Supervisors has approved preliminary measures for the formation of a tourism business improvement district, or TBID, which would fund a fleet of two to four on-demand shuttles in the resort areas.
